Real Disaster, Crime & Justice, Property & Reno are coming to FAST
(May 18, 2023) – Frequency, the leading cloud-based video platform powering linear channels for content providers across the globe, today announced a partnership with Cineflix Rights, the UK’s largest independent TV content distributor, to launch Cineflix’s suite of free ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) channels.
Cineflix’s channels, Real Disaster, Crime & Justice, Property & Reno were created using Frequency’s platform and feature must-watch content from Cineflix’s library for distribution on major FAST platforms.
“Cineflix’s deep and valuable content library is of immense value to the market, especially as FAST expands both in the U.S. and internationally,” Frequency’s SVP, Global Sales and Business Development Jon Cohen said. “Scaled distribution of virtual linear video is already an immensely complex task, and Frequency helps our partners overcome the technical requirements and focus on creating viewership experiences that are second to none whilst reaching the leading distributors, globally.”
With a library of more than 5,500 hours of select programming across a wide range of content verticals, Cineflix retains rights to some of TV’s most popular and long-running shows, such as Property Brothers, American Pickers and Air Crash Investigation. Using Frequency’s network of FAST and MVPD platforms allows Cineflix to distribute its content library internationally to a new audience of global viewers.
Mike Gould, SVP Digital, Cineflix Rights, who brokered the platform deals added: “We’re very proud to bring three best-in-class FAST channels to the market across such high-engagement genres, in partnership with leading top-tier FAST platforms Freevee, Xumo Play and Roku. These channels feature some of the most popular shows from the Cineflix library, and we’re really excited to offer audiences such high-quality programming in an expertly curated environment. We look forward to continuing to build our FAST portfolio with more channels and platform deals to be announced soon.”
Frequency enables media companies and rights holders to distribute content to Samsung TV Plus, The Roku Channel, Freevee, and all other leading platforms. Content providers like Cineflix prefer Frequency for the simplicity and power of our tools, the depth of integration with all leading advertising platforms, and the scale and live visibility into distribution logistics. The Frequency platform provides full control over a content provider’s channel programming and content experience utilizing advanced scheduling features for episodic and long-form content, frame accurate ad marker insertion, and broadcast quality motion graphics.
