Vision of Infinity III

Description

"Vision of Infinity" is a three movement composition inspired by the works by Yayoi Kusama. I had the opportunity to know her art at the Museo Tamayo in Mexico City, this year. The first movement was inspired by two of the pieces I saw at the museum: Infinity Net (c.1960) and Kusama's Self-Oblitaration (1967). The second movement is intended to be a response to her obsesion: the infinity can be calm and peaceful, and not only anxous and terrible. The musical inspirations were Chopin and Arvo Pärt. The third and last movement is a hymn in a march style. Directly taken from the idea of the second movement, here I tried to recover the darkness of the obsesion in a metaphorical walk to Salvation.
