Irrelevant: Unlearn - The Need For Dvinity

4mo ago

One of my faviroute bands growing up. This is a classic CD released in June 2000 that is out of print. After having it stolen out of my car and not being able to find it anywhere I contacted Graham from Resist Records and he happily posted me a burnt copy - what a legend Irrelevant formed early in 1999, bringing the Sydney hardcore scene a freshness with their melodic hardcore tunes in the vein of Stretch Armstrong and Boysetsfire. Irrelevant have built a strong reputation as a hard working touring act. They have had several trips interstate and have played with the likes of H20, Strung Out, 28 Days, One Dollar Short, Shutdown, Sommerset, Frenzal Rhomb, Softball and Grade. They also played the Grounded and Hardcore 2001 festivals. With several tours completed during the year including the Grounded Festival and Melbourne and Adelaide in May, as well as supporting One Dollar Short along the east coast they have sure kept busy, as well as preparing for a new release. They supported Ensign in August 2002 and then Paul and Dan announced they were leaving the band. This put things on the back burner for quite a long time before they secured Mahesh on bass and Nick on guitar. They made a full return playing the Resist Records Tour in December 04 and then early 2005 released their debut album 'Ascension' with a tour taking them right around the country during April. **Copyright Statement** This video is not intended to infringe any copyright laws in any way.
