Description
Breaking Dawn actress Mia Maestro has been cast in Guillermo del Toroâs FX Network pilot The Strain. The pilot is based on Del Toroâs trilogy of novelâs The Strain, The Fall and The Night Eternal. Maestro will play the role of a gifted biochemist turned ruthless warrior trying to save New York City from a contaminating virus. Del Toro tells Deadline that he started receiving offers for movies and TV rights after the publication of the first book, but he didnât want to do anything because he didnât want that train of thought to influence the way the book was being written.
