PC Tattletale internet monitoring software from Parental Control Products. The internet is a wonderful thing. We didn't get flying cars by the year 2000, but thanks to Tim Berners-Lee we did get the ability to transform the human experience through the invent of world wide web. For many of us, its our main communication tool, a primary source of entertainment, and even our workplace. But its also a space without traditional boundaries, often full of material that is not appropriate for our children. So let me introduce you to PC Tattletale, a single program that can record everything that happens on your computer to give the 21st century parent the piece of mind that their child is not exposed to the more lurid corners of the internet. So, how exactly does PC Tattletale work? First, PC tattletale remembers keystrokes. This allows parents to access areas of of the internet which require account logins, already having a recording of their login name and password. Next, PC Tattletale records all chats, instant messages and emails, which is perhaps the most important function of all. Almost every internet horror story involving a child predator starts in a chat room, and with this program parents can see if their kids are exposing themselves to dangerous situations or people. PC tattletale records screenshots, which should provide ample proof of your childs actions should he or she be doing something naughty online, and serve as evidence when its time to confront them about their behaviour. THe program also keeps a list of every website visited on your computer, and includes the ability to restrict access to websites with certain keywords, or even without certain keywords, plus a good old-fashioned URL filter. While all of these features are effective, they're worthless if a child knows their being monitored, so the fact that PC tattletale runs silently in the background, and restricted websites appear as error pages rather than letting the child know they're being restricted by a program administered by mom and dad. Whether or not parents should use PC Tattletale is a discussion that parents need to have with one another, to be certain. Trust is so important in raising a child, but so is protecting your child from the nastier bits of the world wide web. And if you decide that you're going to use a monitoring software for your PC, PC tattletale is one of the very best on the market. And while this can mean a lot of time spent slogging through perfectly harmless internet browsing, knowing that your children are safe and making responsible choices on line makes the monitoring worth every minute. PC Tattletale does what it promises, and helps you find out if your kids do too.
