Description

"Let It Snow!", is written by lyricist Sammy Cahn and composer Jule Styne in 1945. The song is best known for its up-tempo versions! Judy Collins turns it into a slow tempo love song. The video is dedicated to man's best friend! The folk singer-songwriter Judy Collins was born in Seattle, Washington in 1939. As a youth she was influenced by the music of Woody Guthrie and Pete Seeger. During the traditional folk revival in the early sixties, she learned the guitar and moved to New York where she eventually got a record contract. Judy Collins studied classical piano as a child before she took up guitar and switched to singing folksongs as a teenager. This 'classical approach' is reflected in this beautifully (under) arranged song performed by Ms. Collins. Her voice sounds better than ever and lends itself perfectly to this Christmas song. From her album "All On A Wintry Night" released in 2000.
