Tarot and Astrology Reading for the Week of July 4, 2015, with The Tarot of the Sidhe To contact Maggie Lukowski: http://maggiemoontarot.com http://www.schifferbooks.com/tarot-of-the-sidhe-4495.html Emily Carding Youtube Showreel 2015 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SqbfUasxoaw https://www.youtube.com/user/EmilyCarding This week I’m reading with the brilliant Tarot of the Sidhe by Emily Carding published by Schiffer Books. Sidhe is a ancient Scottish and Irish Gaelic word for the Faery beings that live in the hills and burial mounds. Emily mentioned just like the hierarchy of Angels and other beings, the Sidhe are a nobler order of the Faery beings and the guardians of inner earth. In creating the deck, Emily used the Great Glyph of the Sidhe, discovered by John Matthews which allows you to journey between the worlds and meet these powerful beings. This Glyph which can be seen on the back of the cards and in the Major Arcana sometime seemingly hidden or other times more pronounced. This Glyph is also a magical symbol to meditate with. There is so much imagery in the cards that allows us to enter each card for our own personal message. So let’s get started on our travels into the Otherworld of the Sidhe using the Glyph to slip between the worlds. For the beginning of the week, the Warrior Queen, traditionally the Queen of Fire or Wands comes out and she has the Gift of Charm. Like our Aquarius Moon, she is Warrior charged with passion, movement and transformation. It appears she is rising up from a from the sea into the flaming yellow sky as the ribbons or orange expand from her, her skirt is colored red, the color of strength, sensuality and faster energy and the birds surround her in flight. As we gaze into the card, looking at the colors she represents, the reds and oranges, it’s a clue to see the colors of those people we come in contact with, and what attributes do we give to those colors. We are not judging, just noticing as it gives us clues to their energy. She offers us the Gift of Charm, we glamour others with our desire to expand our gifts and talents into the Universe, feel the fire of our desire as do everyone that we touch. She reminds each one of us we are a Warrior, powerful beyond all measure Midweek, the Dreamer Six, the element of Air comes out. The Dreamer show us how to create from thought and inspiration and manifest It’s message is: Insights’s Voyage which is perfect for the act of going inward to dream the journey we want to create no matter what is going on in our environment, there is nothing to fear. Things that we may have felt hopeless or disappointed in, are now becoming clearer and brighter. In the picture, the Wind, in the form of the Sidhe, is holding a ship in her hand gently blowing it on it’s way with an Celtic Owl at the helm. We can look at what’s going on in our thoughts, are we going with the flow, or resisting, maybe dreams of travel that we are creating, and knowing the Winds of Fate will gently guide us. I love the verse that Emily wrote for this card, “Heed now Dreamer a brighter quest, the winds of Fate who know you best, Will guide you now in secret ways, to brighter truths and clear days.” At the end of the week, The Dancer Princess comes out. It is titled: Gift of Expression. Emily chose the Dancer to be the element of Water because the dance shows our emotional connection to ourselves and the world. The Princess represents the Page. This Sidhe is playful riding a Unicorn who is splashing in the water with the Sun shining. There is a feeling of joy and innocence eminating from this card representing the child in each one of us. Pages can be messengers and this message is to make time to be playful as we end the week, after we have covered much ground and there may have been some challenges symbolized by the mountains. Often we are hard on ourselves, with our words or thoughts but if we remember that child within, we can only feel love and joy and woul...
