The annual event hosts software specialists, young computer scientists and security experts at the forefront of hacking deterrence. The event offers tutorials in cutting edge devices and seminars in new programs. Participants also jockey for the title of master hacker in the event's hacking competition. The highlights include a renowned hacker giving a masterclass in how to hack a cash machine, enacting an elaborate demonstration on the system's hacking process. In another demonstration the expert, using a model railroad, showed the measures needed to intercept a train's control system. The PhD also presented the Labyrinth-room, a room threaded with a matrix of laser-rays where contenders are challenged to switch off the rays and cross the room.
