DARKFALL - Road To Redemption (2013) Hah, this shit stuff really bring back my memory of old Dark Tranquillity, Vanitas and In Flames hahaa.. It just that most of their music being played in their own style. Yes indeed there are lots of traces of those big bosses but it doesnt means that Darkfall was a clone band. Well the melodic is still there but being presented in the harsh and fierce approached. Its actually a Death Thrash band but to me it was more to Melodic Deathrash coz the melodic sounds more dominant in each of their music. Nice catchy riffing and its getting better when the melodic riffs mixed together. I think its a good album that managed to create something fresh beside the old style of Melodeath. Nice growling vocals. Road To Redemption is actually their 7th opus since 1998. Well Darkfall is not really new in the scene as they have been exist in the Austrian scene since 1995 hahaa.. I guess they have made lots of improvement and this is the best album they can produce at the moment. Ok we have 11 trax in this album and all of them really make your head banging. Full of catchy moment and lots of nice melodies and good guitarworks. Noisehead Rec seems so fortunate to have this band under their wings. Darkfall really show how good they are and it worth their 18 years existence in the scene.
