Poet Clare Best, photographer Laura Stevens and cancer specialist Dr James Mackay answer questions after Clare's performance of her sequence of poems, 'Self-portrait without Breasts', at Brighton & Sussex Medical School. With a strong family history of breast cancer, Clare decided to have preventive surgery. But going against fashion, she chose not to have reconstructive surgery - or implants. Through her decisions and her poetry, Clare is helping to open up discussions around options for women in similar situations.
