Description

London. C/Us of man cleaning the windscreen of a convertible car. C/U of his hands as he puts his chamois leather into a bowl of dirty water. Camera pans to hand holding a small tin of paint and a paintbrush. C/U of car paint work being touched up. Cut to the front of a brightly painted Buick - various angles of the car has a "pop art" design incorporating stars and stripes in orange, green, red, blue, yellow and pink. C/U of a design book - two flower motifs and an explosion motif are shown to the camera. David Vaughan, Douglas Binder and Dudley Edwards will "jazz up your jalopy" for several hundred pounds. We see two of the aforementioned customising a mini. The doors are being painted with a brightly coloured flower motif. C/U of the painting in progress and of the artists. High angle shot of another artist painting one of the doors with "synthetic and flamboyant enamels combining 1930s style decor with pin-table pop art." The third man of the group brings the painted bonnet of the mini and puts it into place. Good C/U of the bonnet being closed showing the design. In a London street, the windows of an art gallery are removed; several men lift a car out of the gallery, through the window frame and down a ramp to the pavement. The car is an AC Cobra; covered with a brightly-coloured psychedelic pattern; a small group of people stand around watching. The car is apparently a work of art that was purchased in the gallery.
