Description
Giving a little history on how Scotland became a Socialist country. Scotland was not always a Socialist country, it was very much Capitalist minded back in the 18th and 19th Century, during a time when Adam Smith had founded Capitalism and the Industrial Revolution of Britain. Unfortunately, Britain between 1880 and 1919 moved on a path of Government expansionism. The first bout of welfare state started in the year 1909, and with two world wars, it lead on the path to Labour, who then centralised the economy, over regulated and Nationalised our industries. All of which lead to Britain's economic decline. You could say that the wars were almost like a gateway towards Labour using this as an excuse to further expand government. Scotland more or less became very welfare statist by this point, and it's perhaps the biggest reason for Scotland becoming so Socialist minded. A lot of people don't understand why Privatised Free Market Healthcare and Education are actually more affordable. They assume America is the free market example, and they also forget that when comparing Private healthcare today, to a Free Market over 100 years ago, they forget their currency has devalued so much, and that we live in an economy today of high inflation. The welfare state with the Nationalised Education and Healthcare, otherwise known to the brainwashed as 'Free' education and 'Free' healthcare, I use the analogy of candy to a baby. Another analogy of course is like the pyramid scheme, people buy into this whole view that it's free, they buy into the propaganda that it's more affordable, and it's because the meaning of Capitalism has become so misconstrued that these people think it's only affordable for the rich, which is far from the truth. The Welfare state is very much like the pyramid scheme, that people buy into the whole idea of getting things for free, and believing this is more affordable, but don't realise they are being scammed. Just like if you give candy to a baby, it's not free, you paid for it, but the baby takes this as a free gift, and if you try to take that away from the baby, he or she will cry his or her eyes out. Pretty much the same with the leftists and the welfare state. The fault of this is the mainstream media and government, people no longer think critically, and when people do not understand economics, the first people they turn to, to learn anything, are the 'Noble Prize Winning Economists', like Paul Krugman, or the so called economic champion, 'Joseph Stiglitz', but that's exactly the problem, no one questions this label, no one stops to think "well hold on a minute, is he really that economically literate?" This video gives you an insight to how Scotland became Socialist, showing you what we are up against today, an insight to the truth, that perhaps many can learn from.
