Germany. Television and 1935 Berlin Broadcast Exhibition. Early Television in Germany and its use in the Nazi period Goebbels entering the exhibition. A Television receiver. A woman sits down in front of a camera. A large screen, sign: "Please look at this picture from as far away as possible." The image of the woman on the screen as she sits down. A man sitting down - His image on the screen. Goebbels. A rotating TV set. Goebbels on mock Television screen. Opening speech: "... you have worked night and day to give entertainment, education and spiritual uplift to the German people..." Television set. Radio : Recording of boys playing accordions. Long shots of the boys playing. Applause. Bavarian dancing in lederhosen. Fire: Hall 4 of the Berlin Broadcast Exhibition burning down (on the evening of the 3rd day). The burning hall; firemen at work (many long shots). The day after: smoking ruins. Firemen tidying up. Four days later a shaft collapsed while building the underground." Funeral procession. ----------------- Another funeral: "Dr. Paul Nibkow died two days after his 80th birthday. He invented TV."
