Description

Released on June 26, 1990, Goo was the sixth studio album and the first major-label release of Sonic Youth. Considered to be the band's most approachable album, Goo contains some of the band's most lackluster content. Deviating from their noise rock approach from earlier releases, Sonic Youth struck a chord with the mainstream rock community of New York City with singles "Kool Thing", "Disappearer", and "Dirty Boots". Other notable songs include "Mote", "Mildred Pierce", and "Titanium Exposé". The vocals are split between guitarist Thurston Moore, bassist Kim Gordon, and second guitarist Lee Ranaldo. Tracklist: Dirty Boots - 0:00 Tunic (Song for Karen) - 5:30 Mary-Christ - 11:50 Kool Thing - 15:02 Mote - 19:08 My Friend Goo - 26:45 Disappearer - 29:06 Mildred Pierce - 34:14 Cinderella's Big Score - 36:27 Scooter + Jinx - 42:22 Titanium Exposé - 43:29
