The KKK has set up a neighborhood watch in Fairview Township, Pennsylvania. The KKK has set up a neighborhood watch in Fairview Township, Pennsylvania. According to the imperial wizard of the Traditionalist American Knights of the Ku Klux Klan, the watch group has been formed to protect area citizens against the increasing number of break-ins. He also said the initiative is being sponsored by the organization's Park Hills, Missouri headquarters. To announce the launch of the watch, the local KKK branch passed out fliers to residents. Featured on them is a drawn hooded member and the caption, "Neighborhood Watch. You can sleep tonight knowing the Klan is awake." The imperial wizard mentioned that the formation of the safety initiative came as a response to requests by residents of the affected neighborhood. Many had reportedly called the KKK hotline to say didn't feel the police were doing enough to stop the crimes. What he wouldn't say was who was organizing the group on the local level, the names of the people who would be doing the watching, or who had handed out the announcements. According to him, individual identities are not being revealed because KKK members are, "somewhat discriminated against."
