נשיא המדינה שמעון פרס והזמרת הבינלאומית ברברה סטרייסנד הגשימו היום משאלות לכ-20 ילדים עמותת "Make-A-wish ", החולים במחלות קשות, במסגרת מפגש מרגש במיוחד שהתקיים היום בבית הנשיא. במהלך המפגש ברכו הילדים את ברברה והנשיא, שרו עימם שירים ואף העניקו להם מתנות מהעמותה. הנשיא פרס פנה באירוע לילדים ואמר: "אתם ילדים נפלאים. בעיניי ברברה ובעיניי אתם גיבורים אמיתיים, גיבורי ישראל, שנלחמים לחיות ולהתפלל".
