And ride this Life with Velocity To sit back and counteract the fact that this is all yours Is the audacity...of hopelessness... Our President is a Present Baring gifts Of how far fantasies can become actualities YES WE CAN! And yes you better Storm the weather Of past temperatures and present temperament That dont make you feel better Set yourself apart As a distinguished Extinguishing The Fire The Clearing Allow it to take you higher To Higher Grounds Its a wonderment! Im not here to preach or to be an example of all The lessons that I still learn and teach Im just a mirror to you and will always walk with you Hand On Your Shoulder Other On Your Back To allow you to see that All the bullshit Outside That storms your inside Know that I know that youre better than that Take advantage of this moment And the Proverbs from way back That reminds me to remind you Of what it means to be Young, Gifted, and Black.
