Description

The Kad Connect Bell is an imaginary device that helps Kads, who were adopted from Korea, connect to their heritage in Koreatown. The bell is a kad-version of the service call bells on tabletops in Korean cafes. The bell acts as an intermediary, using fluent, modern, polite language to introduce Kads who grew up not speaking Korean. It then starts conversations about questions Kads might have about Korean food, language and culture. The interactions can help people of different life experiences start to connect as they share the same space. [3D printed device!
