A Malaysian snake charmer has appeared on live TV kissing a deadly cobra – the same trick that saw his father fatally bitten. Amjad Khan, 27, filmed the poisonous pash for an upcoming episode of British show The World's Most Talented. He has been messing with and kissing snakes since he was a one-year-old, he says. Mr Khan's father, Ali Khan Samsudin, was a snake charmer who was killed on-stage performing the same trick in Kuala Lumpur in 2006. Known as the "Snake King", Khan senior was famous for living in a small room, 12 hours a day for 40 days with 400 cobras in 1999, and spending 21 days locked in a glass box with 6000 scorpions in 1998. Khan Jr told the show's host that he was only "10 percent" frightened of the world's largest venomous snake because of what happened to his father. "He was bitten by the King Cobra, and the doctors said we couldn’t do anything," he said. Host Laura Jakcson was suitably impressed by the feat. "I’m not going to sleep tonight, that was a whole new level of danger. I was terrified watching – I couldn’t believe it," she said.
