Description
Lyrics by John Cormier Music by Michael Conley Recorded April 14, 2013 at Judson Memorial Church John Cormier has been a Sunday morning staple at Judson for the past seven years. Since 2006, he's lent his skill and voice to help punctuate Donna and Michael's sermons and messages. Now, in his first ever solo cabaret, with the help of resident Music Director Michael Conley, he invites you to go with him as he takes a look back at his time in New York City (so far). From rock to music theater to all out camp, from Sondheim to Webber to Rice, plus two original songs with music by Michael Conley and lyrics by John himself, he'll take you through his journey of hope, addiction, destruction, redemption, coming full circle back to hope! John Cormier will be graduating this May from The New School for Drama with his MFA in Acting. During his time at NSD, he's taken on the iconic roll of Hamlet, as well as had the chance to create the role of Taylor in the new play A Modern Feeling by Jason Kim. John is co-founder and proud board member of The November Ten LLC, creative force behind Festival 56, the largest summer theater festival in the state of Illinois. Before grad school, John work professionally in musical theater for over 10 years including several regional credits and three national tours, having the chance to play both Jesus and Judas on two separate occasions in Jesus Christ Superstar.
