Description

The woman, whose mellifluous duets rendered along with her late husband Jagjit Singh still spell sheer romance for music aficionados, is on a mission these days. After moving the court against the organisers who have used Jagjit's name for commercial use, Chitra Singh is talking tough. She voices her angst in an emotional interaction... Without mincing her words, she says: "I was tired and extremely angry watching the way many concert organisers were exploiting Jagjit Singh's name. And I finally decided to take legal action against all the offenders. One particular case is pending in Delhi High Court and I would not like to speak about that. But I want to warn all the people who want to draw commercial mileage using Jagjit's name that I will not sit as a mere spectator; I will not leave those who steal my dues. As his legal heir, I have copyrights, intellectual property rights and personal rights, which allow me to seek legal action against all the offenders. Enough is enough."
