Description

Tom Hines is the "editor" of "Our Town." He happened to be in the audience when Deanna Reeder gave her comments and challenged the credibility of his little endeavor. You could see him get more and more agitated as she blasted the "newspaper." He grabbed a slip and handed it to the City Clerk, which he was not supposed to do. (The protocol is he should have handed it to the Sheriff officer working. However, this City Council rarely follows protocol so of course they accepted it.) Are we finally going to learn where the money is coming from to produce this monthly tabloid? Will he announce the name of the writer who has the inside edge with the FBI and now knows the outcome of the corruption investigation? Of course not. Instead he tells us how he's working on a story about Robert Kennedy's connection to Moreno Valley. He then adds how the problem is that everyone is now dead. Wow! That's really insightful. Mr. Hines also said that the goal of the "newspaper" isn't to bring happy news to Moreno Valley like his co-publisher suggests. Nope, it's to bring jobs to the community. Hopefully one for him since he claims they are all volunteers. I can't do his comments justice. I'll just let you watch them for yourself.
