Description

Wall's street's signs and lights convey a sense of urgency and permanence to the world. But that perception was damaged last year when Hurricane Sandy slammed into the New York metro area, shutting down Wall Street for two days. Suddenly the thing no one really talked about in connection with Wall Street was laid bare by the winds of Sandy: weather could adversely effect wall street through it's data centers-- in ways previously linked to terrorism. So where is Wall Street's information kept? It has to be close by, in the same geographical area for quick trades. One data center is located in a nondescript building in Secaucus New Jersey, beside shopping outlets—just across the street from Equinix's NY5 data center.
