Description

"No Generator Left Behind" On August 27, 2011 Preparation for Hurricane Irene was too little too late. Imagine being the morning of a Hurricane and finding out that the back-up emergency generator or chainsaw would not start. The first wave of the storm was scheduled to hit Long Island New York in less than (NY). The Mower Shop in Huntington New York was open late for days repairing lawn mowers and chainsaws. For hours each day The Mower Shop did chainsaw blade sharpening, Carburetor re-building, fuel system cleaning, and Engine repair. Generator repair and Chain Saw repair were a priority. Dozens of chainsaws and generators were repaired. After Hurricane Irene left the coast over 400,000 houses were without power. Even The Mower Shop did not have electricity. Using an emergency generator to power the repair shop, the Mower Shop in Huntington New York stayed open late to continue to repair generators and chainsaws. Not only did the Mower shop stay open to fix as many chain saws and Generators, they charge a fair and surprisingly low price. An owner of The Mower Shop said "This is our community. Clients are the very same people who will come back for lawn mower repair when the hurricane is a distant memory. We get a lot of business because we are highly recommended and always do the right thing."
