Description

Hollywood Forever Cemetery sells out all 4,000 tickets each summer weekend night to its outdoor movies projected against a huge white mausoleum wall in a famed graveyard—resting place of stars like Fay Wray and Johnny Ramone. The audience drinks, smokes and enjoys classics such as Harold and Maude, Goonies, Grindhouse, Apocalypse Now and A Hard Day's Night. Besides a fine picture and open sky, white orbs are said to appear in photos taken by guests. Cinespia, which runs the show, says the giant all-ages audience on blankets creates an instant community whose vibe ebbs and flows with the personality of each film.
