Description

On October 8, 2010E.V.. I presented a series of works at the PAC (Performing Arts Center) at Naropa University. This was initiated by Amy Catanzano of the Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics. This was a particularly special event for me b/c I've known about Naropa ever since its inception &'ve been curious about it b/c of the Kerouac School's connection to the Beats & others. My presentation was basically in 4 parts: "Generic Tour" (the most recent of a series that I've enacted in Windsor, Canada; Pittsburgh, us@; & Adelaide, Australia), "Narrative" (a premier - me playing a white baby grand piano w/ ear muffling on while a vaudeo of the same name is projected), "A Collector's Item - 25 Years of Rubber Stamping" (only the 2nd time this has been presented in its entirety - a lecture w/ slides covering a broad range of ideas), & "Last Man on Earth" (the 3rd time this has been presented, the 1st time for this particular version - vaudeo projection again w/ live electronic soundtrack). Amy Catanzano & Anselm Hollo introduced me. I'm particularly fond of this presentation b/c it represents a sortof 'maturity' for me. By now I've produced so much work that cobbling together such events enables me to produce a fairly rich quasi-retrospective. Of course, the YouTube version presented here is an abridgment of the full 1:49:19 version & is, as such, an extremely limited sampling. - November 26, 2010 notes from tENTATIVELY, a cONVENIENCE
