Description

Director and producer George Lucas talked up his latest project, animated musical "Strange Magic," as an action movie for girls as well as boys. "I wanted to tell the story in music, but using existing music, so to go through and find all the lyrics that would actually tell the story," he said. "I did Star Wars for 12-year-old boys. ... I had two girls, and now I have three girls ... I just figured I'd make one of these for girls, because you're not supposed to make movies for girls." 'Strange Magic', partially inspired by Shakespeare play 'A Midsummer Night's Dream', stars Alan Cumming and Evan Rachel Wood with support from the likes of Maya Rudolph, Alfred Molina and Kristin Chenoweth.
