Description

These cadets never cease to amaze. Tuesday afternoon, we received a request from Westbrook Funeral Home regarding services for Mr George Hill. Mr Hill passed away and the family wanted military honors. He served in World War II with the US Navy. Unfortunately, the family could not locate the DD form 214 confirming his service and discharge. Consequently, the Navy would not provide a team to render honors. Mr Burns, from the funeral home, requested we fold the flag for the family. Within minutes of letting Cadet Hale and Cadet Jethro know about the request, they started putting a team together. With only two hours of practice, we traveled to Hickory Plains and provided a fold and flag presentation. I couldn't be prouder of Cadets Webster, Jethro, J. Jones, R. Thomas, and Hale. They personified excellence, service, and professionalism today.
