Tom Scott, head of brand and innovation at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, speaks with Thomas Crampton about how the Cannes Chimera may change the world. Launched in partnership with the Cannes Lions, the Chimera encourages creatives in the advertising industry to find a way to increase awareness of poverty elimination goals. Winning entries will get a US$100,000 grant for proof of concept and up to US$1 million in funding if they proves scalable. The competition is part of a push by brands in general at this year's festival talking about how brands can emphasize social good.
