Description

A grand jury has indicted 4 officials at a California slaughterhouse. Allegations of misconduct say that diseased cows entered the food supply. Rancho Feeding Corporation in Petaluma, north of San Francisco, shut down earlier this year after it had to recall 8.7 million pounds of beef which came from diseased and unhealthy animals. Now federal grand jury has indicted Rancho Feeding Corp’s owners and two employees. Prosecutors say they slaughtered diseased cows intentionally while inspectors were away on lunch breaks. They are accused of chopping off cow’s heads so inspectors couldn’t find diseases like eye cancer. http://www.pressdemocrat.com/news/2547722-181/three-indicted-in-rancho-feeding Support Indymedia!
