New FEMA Program For Towns Hard Hit By Sandy

Gov. Christie came to Toms River on Friday, announcing a new program for Hurricane Sandy victims. Starting Monday, state and local government entities can apply for the FEMA Non-Federal Cost Share Match Program. Under the program, local governments in the nine most impacted counties that have a 10 percent match for debris removal projects or emergency protective measures can apply to the Department of Community Affairs for funding to reimburse those costs. Christie praised the recovery efforts in New Jersey, telling the media we're seeing great results in less than four years as compared to other disasters like Hurricane Katrina.
