Kim Polese, a Silicon Valley entrepreneur and innovator, addresses a new and growing digital divide: that between those who have high-speed wired broadband access to the Internet in their homes, and those who don't. Many of the services that we increasingly rely on in our daily lives require such access; Polese argues that the lack of affordable high-speed broadband access heightens the inequalities in our society, making it more difficult for people to thrive.
