The Northern California Section of the Professional Golfers' Association is pleased to announce that the team of PGA Head Professional Joe Moulton of Morgan Creek Golf & Country Club (Citrus Heights, CA) and Mike Williams are the 2013 NCPGA California State Club Championship overall winners with a final score of 8-under par (71-65-136). Moulton and Williams won over Steve Pellegrine and Darin Lake on the second hole via playoff to advance to the overall competition. The 34th Annual NCPGA California State Club Championship pairs a PGA Club Professional and the facility's 2012 Club Champion together against other teams. This two-day championship was held at Old Greenwood (Par 72) and the Golf Club at Gray's Crossing (Par 72) in Truckee, California May 20-21, 2013. First place for the Tour Division goes to PGA Assistant Golf Professional Steve Pellegrine and Darin Lake of Sunnyside Country Club (Kingsburg, CA) with a final score of 8 under par. First place for the Mixed Division goes to PGA Director of Golf Mark Wotherspoon and Brad Pendelton of Kelseyville, CA, representing Buckingham Golf & Country Club with a final score of 1-over par. The Champions Division winners were PGA Head Professional Shawn Kelly and Joe Cox of the Ridge Golf Club in Auburn, CA with a final score of 4-under par. In the Tour Division, Walter Thompson of Sierra View Country Club in Sacramento, CA made a hole-in-one on the 4th hole. He and his partner, Tanner Makimoto of Roseville, CA ultimately tied for 17th with a final score of 2-over par. The 2013 California State Club Championship is presented by Eldorado Hotel Casino Reno and supported by Titleist/FootJoy.
