Description

At Ann Arbor City Council, 6/20/2016: Following two speeches for the boycott-Israel resolution, watch the response from Councilmember Jack Eaton. He apologizes for his remarks at the June 6th meeting, where he claimed that "we" (the City Council) would not vote on the boycott-Israel resolution. After an audience member reminds him, "You said 'We'!", Eaton apologizes for claiming that "we" would not vote on the resolution. Councilmember Eaton now says the City Council hasn't made any formal decision on whether to vote on the boycott-Israel resolution. Eaton then asks the boycott-Israel speakers to "understand" what that means, after they have spent 14 years asking City Council for boycott, divestment, and sanctions (BDS) resolutions against Israel. This comes after 14 years of very loud, constant BDS demands inside the Ann Arbor City Council. For example here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RjVdsTnXIcg And here, too: http://www.mlive.com/news/ann-arbor/index.ssf/2014/07/palestine_supporters_fill_ann.html So will City Council take an additional 14 years to decide whether to vote publicly on the boycott-Israel resolution?
