Description

Despite the fact that 2015 is the tenth anniversary of the pivotal Kitzmiller v. Dover Area School District decision prohibiting the practice, creation science and intelligent design are still taught in far too many classrooms. Even in schools where evolution is taught, many teachers still face considerable pushback from administrators and parents who may support evolution denialism. In addition, teachers have to wade through student misconceptions about evolution that can lead to confusion and doubt about evolution. Join us in a conversation with Josh Rosenau, Programs and Policy Director at the National Center for Science Education, as we discuss ways to deal with evolution denialism in schools and resources that are available to support teachers.
