It's late on Saturday night, the perfect time for a four-pack of classic Noir Movies!, starting at 12:35am ET/9:35pm PT. Moontide (1942) is the tale of a longshoreman trying to piece together the twisted events of his previous night's binge. Did it include a murder? Jean Gabin and Ida Lupino star. Nightfall (1957) finds an artist being falsely accused of bank robbery and murder, and being pursued by both the law and the real killers. It stars Aldo Ray, Anne Bancroft and Brian Keith. The Sniper (1952) is the unsettling story of a gunman who targets young brunettes, starring Adolphe Menjou, Arthur Franz and Gerald Mohr. Riot in Cell Block 11 (1954) is a look at the appalling conditions in prison, based on the experiences of the film's producer Walter Wanger, starring Neville Brand and Emile Meyer. We love the edgy drama of these noir flicks, and we hope you stay up late and tune in to Movies! to enjoy these four fine examples of the genre.
