International Human Rights Commission celebrated the International Women’s Day 2014 in Peshawar- Pakistan; AKS Creatives organized an event where women from various fields of life join the ceremony under the banner of International Human Rights commission & World Peace Mission Organization. The ceremony has been organized in the Press Club Peshawar. This ceremony was basically organized to present Wheel Chair to a woman despite being disable, she is doing all the things, which even an average healthy person would find difficult, she made her living through making & mending clothes & by teaching children. The Chief Guest Mrs. Tasneem Zahir Shah; President, Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry Peshawar, and Ambassador Dr. Muhammad Shahid Amin Khan; World chairman, International Human Rights Commission, presented the Wheel Chair to Ms. Zakira, who was disable & had no Wheelchair to work. IHRC Chief Dr. Khan & IHRC Senior Vice Chairperson Mrs. Asra Khan presented Awards to the women whose achievements are inspiring and they can inspire change. She presented Awards to Ms. Salma Zeb, from Malakand, Ms. Amina from Peshawar, Ms. Robina Aziz from Chitral, Ms. Neelofar from Charsadda. They are the driving force that creates better lives for families, communities and, increasingly, the countries they have been elected to govern. Effort is important, but knowing where to make an effort makes all the difference. Dr. Khan presented an award to Mr. Hamad Khan from organizing committee of IHRC. World Chairman International Human Rights Commission; Ambassador Dr. Muhammad Shahid Amin Khan said to inspire change, all women need to be free to achieve their full potential. This means freedom from all forms of discrimination, freedom to pursue all opportunities, including education, freedom to earn and spend their own income, and freedom to follow the career paths they decide they want. IHRC is focusing on “Challenges and achievements in the implementation of the Millennium Development Goals for women and girls”. “Women’s representation in parliaments is an accountability issue, Women is a daughter, a sister, a mother and a wife, Woman is working as a teacher, a mother, a doctor, a pilot, a politician they are playing role in every field of life. We have to respect them, on this International Women’s Day, let me thank these women for a level of dedication that can improve the world in a permanent way. International Women's Day is therefore also a day to recommit ourselves to working harder for gender equality, together as women, men, youth and leaders of nations, communities, religion and commerce said by Mrs. Asra Khan in her closing Remarks.
