Nearly 800 combined school children, ages 5 to 8, from Rutherford and Cannon counties and Murfreesboro City Schools were invited to the MTSU campus for the first Agricultural Education Spring Fling, Tuesday, April 15, at the Tennessee Livestock Center in Murfreesboro. The event featured animals (dairy and beef cows), dairy and meat goats, sheep, pigs, chickens and ducks. a Tri-Green Equipment exhibit; Rutherford County Farm Bureau Women's Little Acres' interactive exhibit; barnyard playground featuring a straw maze; alternative fuels researcher Cliff Ricketts' Corvette and Toyota Prius on display; and MTSU Dairy's chocolate milk.
