We would love for WAKE with AL to come to Lusk Ranch in Montague County, TX to help our Roosters Andre, Bruiser & Big Red and their Flock see what's happening in our neck of the woods! Here's what Andre sent to Wake Up with AL... My Rooster buddies and I would like to invite Wake Up with AL to come to Montague County, TX to help us Wake Up our Ranch and see what's happening in our "Neck of the Woods!" Come out to Lusk Ranch where we will introduce you to our Flock, our equine friends, a few Guineas (although Bruiser says they're not the brightest birds but they make a great alarm for predators!), our humans the Lusk / Mantell Family and those dogs. Bruiser, Red and I take care of our flock as we free- range roam our 112+ acres. We hear our humans say our eggs are the best there is, wink wink!! Our "master" The Pride of Montague County, John, and his hen "K" take really good care of us! They own Lusk Ranch and live here with "K"s chicks, Kimmie (17), Ryan (12) & granddaughter Karissa (3). Since they both are retired professional wrestlers, Mr. John wrestled around the World for 35+ years, they sometimes have interesting friends that come to look at us. They use to raise and train Thoroughbred race horses but lost it all in 2009, when the North Texas Wildfires blew through. About 20 acres was burned but 12 horses, barns, tractors and over 50+ years of equipment was lost. So our family has moved forward in rebuilding a life and future on our Ranch for generations to come! So Al Roker come help us Wake Up the family and all of Montague County... Cock-a-doodle-doo!! They were so excited about writing their essay and entering the contest, but seemed to continue to have issues uploading the online form.
