Not counting official releases, tracks 7-8 were officially released by Peter Hook whose profits went to an epilepsy charity. Track 9 was leaked by unknown means. Tracks 15-16 were originally leaked by a user on Youtube without permission from those he got the music from. Track 17, 19, and 20 were made available on Analog Loyalist's blog, with 19 and 20 eventually getting I'm happy to say I actually know a bit about these rehearsals. The above dates are the approximate times where each rehearsal session took place. This bootleg does omit some other known rehearsals: the August or September 1977 rehearsals and "No Love Lost" from the March 1979 rehearsals. I can't speak for the previously unreleased rehearsals, but from what I can hear from the others, a lot of stuff has been edited out. Tracks seem to fade in and out and only really contain the meat of the song, as opposed to any extra stuff on the tracks that may come before or after. "Ice Age" is called "(Waiting for the) Ice Age" because its lyrics reflect the earlier draft Debbie Curtis published in her book "Touching from a Distance," although the choruses are still present in this version. "The Kill (Detail)" is the Unknown Pleasures sessions/Still version, as opposed to the original song written when the band was known as Warsaw. The song was originally leaked on JoyDiv Central by a user called Bedge in 2005. He had a full tape of a Joy Division rehearsal in March 1979. He released a full version of "No Love Lost" (which is still out there; I have no idea why it wasn't released on this bootleg) and this detail here before disappearing. The full tape was never released. Bedge is probably still out there...I hope he's well and he'll someday release the full tape. You can see the archived thread here: http://lwtua.websitetoolbox.com/post/Live-Tape-Found-552507 The November or December 1979 rehearsals are hailed as the real treat, here. JoyDiv Central made a big fuss about it on their front page on March 27, likely because their existence was revealed out of nowhere, unlike all of these other rehearsals, which we all already knew about but likely didn't have because they weren't circulating. Track 11 is an unnamed instrumental, but it sounds like an early version of "Incubation" to me. Track 12 is called "From Night to Day" - I don't know where the new name came from. It's a primordial "A Means to an End". It's also worth note that the original title for "A Means to an End" was "Incubation"; it was before the instrumental track was written. On the VARA Paradiso live tape setlist, the song was called "Incubation". The final rehearsals wer...
