F1 2013 - Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2013 | "Starting GRID" 3-12013 HD F1 2013 - Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2013 | "Starting GRID" 3-12013 HD F1 2013 - Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2013 | "Starting GRID" 3-12013 HD Webber is stuck behind Force India's Adrien Sutil after his stop and labouring to get past. All those stops have promoted the Ferrari duo of Felipe Massa and Fernando Alonso to second and third. One stopping? Maybe. Vettel is still out in front - WAY out in front. Lap 11 Hamilton gets told he has a gammy front tyre and needs to to drop off for a while before taking on Gutierrez. TO paraphrase, Hamilton likes overtaking like a fat kid likes cake. Surely no way he's backing off while in 11th. Lap 10 PASS! Grosjean dives past Gutierrez into the chicane to go 9th and will hope Hamilton gets some interference. Lap 9 Mercedes ask if Rosberg can cling onto his soft tyres for two more laps. "Yes" he urges, but is quickly back on the radio to say they're spent. Hulkenberg rejoins behind Hamilton and Grosjean, who are being held up by Sauber team-mate Esteban Gutierrez. Lap 8 "Kill the tyres, but stay out there for now" Sauber tell Nico Hulkenberg. Webber heads in and Grosjean follows, although it looks like it was the Red Bulls reacting to Lotus rather than the other way around. Can Hamilton, who rejoined in 12th, undercut them both? Lap 7 Grosjean is getting an intimate view of Mark Webber's rear end. The last remaining Lotus has slowly reeled in the Australian and is now dancing all over his gearbox. Hamilton blinks first among the front runners and dives into the pits - the tyres are taking a beating already by all accounts. Lap 6 And in comes Perez. Your top six right now: Vettel, Rosberg, Webber, Grosjean, Hamilton, Hulkenberg. Lap 5 Maldonado in, the first of the scheduled stops. Let's see how that plays out. Lap 4 One thing about the season being over is the death of team orders. Massa and Alonso are at it in seventh and eighth. Should be fun. Lap 3 Paul Di Resta and Jenson Button ran into one another at the start. The Scot made the better start but Button clipped him and saw his wing damaged. He's into the pits and rejoins in last - but he has got soft tyres on, and all in 9.5sec. Lap 2 Vettel's quickly given himself some clean air as Webber keeps tabs on Rosberg. Jenson Button is set to pit at the end of the lap. Lap 1 Vettel pulls up alongside Webber as the Mercedes duo flan them along the first straight. Vettel's through, so is Nico Rosberg, but Hamilton's going backwards as Romain Grosjean gets the jump on him. Kimi Raikkonen is out at the second corner. First time he's not survived a first lap since 2006. 13.04 Red, red, red, red, red.....LIGHTS OUT! 13.03 They're back on the grid. How's your trigger finger feeling, Mark? 12.59 Parade lap time. Tactics? It's a one-stop vs two-stop race in Abu Dhabi. Most drivers are starting on the softer option tyre, with only Jenson Button on the mediums among the top 12, so expect a string of dives into the superb pit lane early doors. 12.50 Hamilton felt a vibration from the rear brakes as he drove out to the grid, but the Mercedes team seem satisfied that they've got it under control and are repackaging the back end of the car. Some comfort, but that's bound to be a niggling doubt for a few laps. "Guys, I just want to say thank you so much for getting the car ready in time," he says over the radio. 12.46 15 minutes until the cars leave the grid, and some serious expressions from the mechanics standing around Lewis Hamilton's Mercedes. Nuts and bolts all over the place, with the rear brake calipers being replaced by the looks of things. Nightmare? Par for the course this season for Lewis, who loves this track.
