Today's #FlagFriday is about giving back.... So as promised a video explaining how to learn the technique and develop the strength to perform a human flagpole. These are the progressions I used to help me and I'm sure they can help you if you'll like to learn...... one key point is missed in the video and that is DONT BE AFRAID TO FAIL! It took me three months to learn to do a half decent one and a year later I'm still trying to develop it further and have been seen failing & falling in the gym many times! Get out of your comfort zone because that's where you'll learn and grow! Don't do what you've always done or what everyone else does, do what you enjoy! Next time I'll show you some exercises that can help specific areas of strength for the flag like lower shoulder position (push), upper arm position (pull) and ways to strengthen abs and obliques required to hold it. Thanks to H3 Performance Nottingham for the best pole in a Nottingham and to NRGFUEL SPORTS NUTRITION KT Tape UK & Sauce & Brown for supporting all my flagpole antics!
