Description

Today we try to re-create this candy blob inspired by a tutorial from Chad Ashley at GreyscaleGorilla. Based on his animated daily render we are going to look at how we can create something like that with Trapcode TAO. C4D and Tao might be two entirely different things, that works in entirely different ways, but it's all connected in some way and sure doesn't mean we can't learn how to make nice 3D objects if we can figure how to apply some of the general principles from the traditional 3D software world in to the Tao philosophy, in terms of scene setups, lighting and texturing habits ! With all that in mind, when those situation arise when you don't necessarily need extreme photo-realistic results, and you would rather spend more time experimenting than rendering, you'll soon come to realize that when you know how to think with TAO, how much it is even more than just a tool to create severely abstract and glitchy random pieces of motion even if they are endlessly fun to create :P Chad Ashley tutorial : http://greyscalegorilla.com/tutorials/create-your-own-daily-render-animated-candy-blob-gif/ After Effects files and preset (install .ffx files in preset folder) : http://www.xponentialdesign.com/bonus/tao-candyRing.zip Trapcode TAO : https://www.redgiant.com/products/trapcode-tao/
