On 29th of April 2011 (the day of William Windsor & Kate Middleton's wedding) five people were arrested from a branch of Starbucks on Oxford Street for 'breach of the peace'. Although they had not broken any laws, the police interpreted their zombie fancy dress as an anti-royal protest. They were in the area to attend a zombie flashmob. This was part of a wider pattern of the criminalisation of protest - and on that day dozens of people were arrested 'pre-emptively'.
