Description
A teaser of the wildlife art from the collections of the National Museum of Wildlife Art (Jackson, Wyo) and the Whyte Museum of the Canadian Rockies (Banff, Alberta). Paintings, sculptures, sketches, and drawings by masters of the past 150 years (including Bierstadt, Moran, and Russell) depicting wildlife that live in the regions between Yellowstone in Wyoming and the Arctic Circle of the Yukon. The resulting exhibit pulled together by the Yellowstone to Yukon Conservation Initiative and the two museums, has been on display at the National Museum of Wildlife Art (May-Sept 2011) and at the Whyte Museum of the Canadian Rockies (June-Nov 15, 2012) and has been compiled into the book "Yellowstone to Yukon: The Journey of Wildlife and Art" by Fulcrum Publishing, www.fulcrumbooks.com.
