CRÉDITOS William Finley: In Memoriam... "Phantom of the Paradise" "Faust" - Paul Williams Performance William Finley William Finley (1942-2012) http://www.swanarchive.org/ Letra de Faust en Inglés (Bill Finley) : I was not myself last night couldn't set things right with apologies or flowers. Out of place as a cryin' clown who could only frown and the play went on for hours... And as I lived my role I swore I'd sell my soul for one love, Who would stand by me and give me back the gift of laughter, One love who would stand by me and after making love we'd... Dream a bit of style We'd dream a bunch of friends Dream each others smile And dream it never ends I was not myself last night in the morning light I could see the change was showing. Like a child who was always poor reaching out for more I could feel the hunger growing And as I lost control I swore I'd sell my soul for one love Who would sing my song and fill this emptiness inside me One love who would sing my song and lay beside me while we'd.... Dream a bit of style We'd dream a bunch of friends Dream each others smile And dream it never ends All my dreams are lost and I can't sleep And sleep alone could ease my mind, All my tears have dried and I can't weep. Old emotions may they rest in peace and dream, dream a bunch of friends. *Biografy Resume* Marvelously quirky, distinctive and versatile character actor William Finley was born on September 20th, 1942 in New York City. Finley attended Columbia University, where he first met future film director Brian De Palma. The lanky 6'4" Finley first began acting on the New York stage. He made his film debut in Pe Palma's odd short movie "Woton's Wake." Finley went on to play a deliciously rich and colorful array of strikingly idiosyncratic parts for De Palma: a slow-witted stage hand in "Murder a la Mod," the disapproving friend of a guy who's about to be married in "The Wedding Party," the wicked titular villain in "Dionysus;" splendid as Margot Kidder's freaky psychiatrist husband in "Sisters;" excellent and engaging in a rare substantial lead as the meek and nerdy struggling songwriter Winslow Leach in the delightfully outrageous "Phantom of the Paradise," and a seedy psychic in "The Fury." Finley tackled a couple of equally memorable off-center roles in a pair of superior Tobe Hooper fright features: he's Marilyn Burns' deranged husband in "Eaten Alive" and a pathetic drunken carnival magician in "The Funhouse." Finley was once again fine as a mad scientist in the exciting Chuck Norris horror/action hybrid "Silent Rage." In addition to acting, Finley composed the theme song for "Murder a la Mod" and co-wrote the script for th...
