http://votelindapritchett.com/ Linda Becquer Pritchett is a candidate for Georgia House District 63, a newly created district, which covers North Fayette, South Fulton, and South Clayton Counties. She currently resides in Riverdale, Georgia with her two sons, Dakota and Logan. She is a proud member of the World Changers Church International in College Park. She is also a certified paralegal, specializing in the areas of foreclosure and family law.On June 9, 2012, she will be graduating from Saint Leo University with a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, with honors and is a member of the Pi Gamma Mu Honor Society. Ms. Pritchett is a leader in her community. She is not afraid to take the initiative and search for solutions to problems. Her professional experience in the area of foreclosure has made Ms. Pritchett a passionate advocate for foreclosure prevention. She has spoken at several public hearings about the issue and continues to work hard so that the members of her local community may save their homes. Ms. Pritchett recognizes the importance of working collectively on this issue and hopes to collaborate with other leaders in the community to develop effective strategies that will prevent more foreclosures in the district. Ms. Pritchett recently began co-hosting community meetings with the Fulton County Police & Code Enforcement for residents in district 63. She firmly believes in the importance of creating a space for dialogue on issues of importance. She intends to continue hosting meetings about a variety of issues so that the members of her community will have an open forum to express their concerns and have them heard by the appropriate audience. We can expect Ms. Pritchett to continue organizing community meetings, for she strongly values the ideas and insight of her fellow community members. Through her work with various community-based organizations, Ms. Pritchett has shown a strong commitment to her community. As the niece of the late Celia Cruz, Cuba's pioneer of Afro-Cuban salsa music, Ms. Pritchett spends time working to building the Celia Cruz Foundation. She is dedicated to carrying on her aunt's legacy by speaking out on behalf of issues that affect Georgia's diverse minority communities. She is also an active member of the Greater Old National Action Committee, serving on the Legislative Committee. She regularly participates in and organizes community-based initiatives with the Spirit Foundation. In addition, she serves on the Program Advisory Board of ITT Technical College. Ms. Pritchett is described by many as a "go-getter." She is hard working and committed to making her district a better place for everyone.
