Description

VANISH is the latest audiovisual project produced by FABRICA, Benetton Group's communication research centre, the fruit of a collaboration between the filmmaker/programmer Daniel Schwarz and musician Davide Cairo. VANISH is a fascinating journey through surreal landscapes, in which music and video have been composed in parallel, influencing each other in their development. Natural elements such as water, wood and ice meet and blend with materials fashioned by man, including porcelain and metal, to create a mixture of shapes and sculptures that dance in total interconnectivity with the music. The music drew inspiration from the sounds made by these elements, and through a huge series of algorithms, transformed them into a range of geometric representations that then formed the basis for the audio-reactive graphics projections.
