Description
David Fitzgerald, Mike Riccitelli, & Brian Runt have teamed up to produce a feature length documentary while thru-hiking one of North Americas most iconic hiking trails -- The John Muir Trail! Check out TheTrekProject.com Help us complete this epic thru-hike and recieve great perks in return! Visit Indiegogo.com/trek-project The TREK Project: We at The TREK Project are carrying on the Muir tradition of promoting Environmental Education, Sustainability, and Stewardship. Our organization produces multimedia in order to foster knowledge, motivation and action toward these objectives. In doing so, we strive to ensure the future of our national parks, our natural resources and our native species. HOW TO SUPPORT THE PROJECT: Become a Donor or a Sponsor! Go to Indiegogo.com/trek-project to learn how! Your contribution will be used directly to produce the documentary. Hiking the JMT for 30 days involves substantial costs, including food, specialty gear, and expendable items such as first aid and water treatment. This project is a flexable funded campaign, meaning that all donations will be recieved by the trek project whether the goal is reached or not. In the event that the goal is not reached, the project will be condensed into a smaller project that fits the raised budget. If the goal is reached and then some, the group will first upgrade or add certain items in order to increase the production value of the documentary. For example, if the funds recieved are over the goal amount then the crew will purchase a RC helicopter to use with the GoPro camera. Who wants to see arial shots of Half Dome? Lets do it! If we raise over $10,000, the TREK Project will donate the remainder to The Sierra Club, founded by John Muir himself. The Sierra Club is the worlds largest grassroots environmental organization in the world. We cannot complete this project without your help. We will be indebted to you for your gracious support of this expedition. www.TheTrekProject.com Indiegogo.com/trek-project
