At Sunday’s ‘Tony Awards,’ Mike Nichols won Best Direction for ‘Death of a Salesman,’ and the Tony vet brought the house down with his speech. It was both funny and touching. He said there was “not a person in this theater that doesn’t know what it’s like to be a salesman. To be way out there on the blue riding on a smile and a shoe shine. As we know, salesman has to dream. It goes with the territory. Thank you!”
